Fidji Simo
CEO & Chair, Instacart
Fidji Simo is the CEO and Chair of Instacart, the leading online grocery delivery and pick-up platform in North America. Under her leadership, Instacart has deployed AI extensively across its platform — from personalized product recommendations and AI-powered search to smart shopping carts (Caper Carts) that use computer vision to identify products automatically.
Born and raised in France, Simo joined Instacart in 2021 after spending a decade at Meta (then Facebook), where she led the Facebook app — the company's flagship product used by over two billion people. At Meta, she oversaw the launch of Facebook Watch, Facebook News, and numerous other products.
At Instacart, Simo led the company through its IPO on the NASDAQ in September 2023. She has driven the company's transformation from a delivery service into a technology platform that uses AI to power the entire grocery ecosystem — from consumers to retailers to brand advertisers.
Simo holds a Master's degree from HEC Paris and has been named to Fortune's Most Powerful Women list.
