Marta Bralic Kerns is the founder and CEO of Pomelo Care, a virtual maternal care platform that uses AI to identify and support high-risk pregnancies. Founded in 2021, Pomelo Care is tackling the US maternal health crisis — where maternal mortality rates are the highest among developed nations and rising.

Pomelo's AI-powered platform predicts pregnancy complications using machine learning models trained on clinical data, enabling early intervention for conditions like preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and preterm labor. The platform provides 24/7 virtual care through a team of midwives, nurses, dietitians, and mental health specialists.

Before founding Pomelo Care, Bralic Kerns served as a Senior Vice President at Noom, the health-tech company. She has experience across healthcare, technology, and operations.

Pomelo Care has grown to over 200 employees and works with health plans and employers to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes. The company's approach — using AI for risk prediction combined with multidisciplinary human care — represents a promising model for addressing healthcare disparities through technology.
